Testimonials & Endoresments

“I have known Cathi Tower since 1987 when she first moved into the area with plans to open a boarding kennel. Over the years I have watched the kennel grown and have been consistently impressed with the facilities and quality of the care provided to the boarded animals. Cathi and her staff all have considerable experience working with dogs and cats. They provide compassionate care for the animals that are left in their charge while the owners are away. They are able to recognize medical problems and are competent to administer medications if needed. I am happy to recommend Myownly Boarding Kennel to our clients …….”
Lynn M. Kingsley, DVM, Cascade Animal Clinic, Monroe, WA.

“I have been fortunate to have personally worked with both Holly and Cathi of Myownly Boarding Kennel. They are both very knowledgeable and conscientious in their care of their own pets and those at the kennel. I know if a problem or illness develops while pets are in their care they will receive the attention needed. I feel very comfortable recommending them for pet care.”
Nicole Davis, DVM, Cascade Animal Clinic, Monroe

“As a board-certified veterinary behavior. Specialist, I treat many anxious & aggressive dogs in my practice. Myownly Boarding Kennel is one of the few facilities I trust with my patients. They seem to understand the importance of giving these dogs extra space and avoiding the triggers that provoke aggression. They do not approach my patients with the attitude that they are going to “train” them or “fix” their aggression problems by being confrontational, but rather they respect the value of allowing these dogs to develop a comfort level with their employees by avoiding confrontations. They provide a valuable service for my clients who often have difficulty finding acceptable boarding options for their dogs.

“Our dog 'Lady', who is 14, has made a second home for herself at Myownly Boarding Kennel. We feel very lucky! Last fall we were out of town for 3 months, and she spent them happily there, arriving home relaxed and without any disorientation. We believed that we could leave her with complete peace of mind, and we were right.

Lady has been a regular at MBK for 5 years. During these times we have traveled frequently, generally taking a month away in the summer and going for shorter trips throughout the year. Lady is a treasured member of our family, and I looked carefully to find a good place for her. I had a very good feeling about Lady’s first visit to MBK when I learned that, because she cried all night in her kennel, she had been allowed to sleep in the office. I don’t think that Lady’s ability to settle in was simple good fortune …

I had some initial concerns about boarding Lady, because she has never been an easy dog. We adopted her at 1 ½ from the Humane Society, and she has a scrappy personality……. When there have been problems requiring medical attention these have been dealt with promptly and responsibly. I always get a call to verify my permission for treatment. On one visit to MBK Lady was diagnosed with a heart condition, and on another she needed emergency medical treatment for vomiting (and eventually needed surgery). I know that she will be carefully watched and monitored in their hands, and that they have a good working relationship with medical treatment facilities nearby.

One final pleasure of using MBK is the relationship that I have with Holly and Cathi. They are honest and forthcoming. We can talk over issues related to Lady’s health and behavior. I trust their knowledge of animals and their understanding of what is best for mine. If I have a problem with Lady when she returns home I know that I can raise this and they will think through what her experience was like while she was there. I enjoy their relaxed, warm manner and I know that Lady benefits greatly from the atmosphere, which they create.”

“We recently had our dog groomed at Myownly Boarding Kennel, and we received wonderful service. When we toured the facility, we found it to be clean and spacious, and we were very impressed with the space allotted to each pet that is boarding. We also were impressed with the professionalism and compassion of the staff members who we met. We would certainly recommend Myownly to our friends and family for their pet grooming or boarding needs”.

“I frequently refer my clients to Myownly Boarding Kennel for their boarding needs. I know the staff, the care they provide their own pets and I know the quality of care extends to their boarders.”

"I just wanted to thank you for your great service up there at Myownly. As a dog trainer, I know how crucial it is to feel like you’re not creating behavior problems when you’re boarding your dog somewhere and you folks have a great system to ensure that a dog will have a non-stressful and safe stay. The experience I’ve had in boarding my personal dog there has been excellent. Thanks again for the great care and attention that you gave Delilah when she was there. Please use this as you wish as my whole-hearted recommendation for your boarding kennel."
