Viewing of the facilities is encouraged prior to your pet’s stay (by appointment)

The dog boarding quarters at Myownly Boarding Kennel are zone heated/cooled, fully enclosed, and divided into areas that are designed for differing needs of your pet(s). All sleeping areas are indoors. These long runs have short dividers between so as to provide cleanliness and some privacy. Your pet will have:

A sleeping box with fleece bedding
Fresh non-chlorinated well water
Dry Canidae or Prairie diets
Safe toys for your pet’s entertainment

We clean each run as often as is necessary so our staff is in the kennels for large periods of time during the day. This close contact allows Myownly staff members many opportunities to recognize special needs or potential problems should they arise. The two outside play areas are surrounded by 6’ board fences. One large agility and play area is fully covered to allow for the activities packages that we offer for your companion.

The cattery area at Myownly Boarding Kennel is right up front. Your cat friend will have:

Two levels of units where the cats can see outdoors and watch birds during the day
Fresh catnip (grown just outside and offered to the felines in the evening)
Outing in the secure office area for a “stretch & walkabout” daily when office is closed
Private cat apartment (4’ high, 3’ wide and 2’deep with two climbing shelves that allow the isometric activities cats generally prefer)
Soft bedding or privacy tunnel bed
Feline Canidae dry (please bring your own special diet if it is more beneficial to your kitty’s health while in our care).

The receptionist at Myownly Boarding Kennel will need to see proof of your pet’s current vaccinations upon check in.

Felines should receive FVRCP annually (or as per your veterinarian) and Rabies every 3 years.

Canines receive DA2PP and Bordetella annually (or as per your veterinarian) and Rabies every 3 years.

If possible please get booster vaccines at least one week prior to boarding. We highly recommend that your pet have a fecal test at the time of its annual health exam. With the increase in dog-park activity there appears to be a higher incidence of internal parasites in companion dogs. Cats travel through other animals’ territory and can also be exposed to parasites. We encourage you to bring safe chew items for your dog and we have a variety of tempting “bully sticks” and treats in our retail area. Please do not bring rawhide or hooves. We will provide everything else needed for a comfortable stay. We recommended that your pet wears a flat collar with ID /RV tags anytime he/she is away from home, but please take off any training type collars before you leave. We prefer to supply bedding and toys, but if it is necessary to leave personal belongings please label them with an indelible black marker to give us the best chance of returning them to you. We do best spending our time caring for your family’s dog or cat, rather than keeping tabs on belongings.
